Staying ahead of the October 2026 mandate
With Phase 1 of DEFRA's mandatory Digital Waste Tracking regulations coming into force on 1 October 2026, paper waste transfer notes are being phased out for permitted sites across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
SkipSense makes that transition easier by generating your waste transfer notes digitally. Your drivers capture signatures and log load data straight from their phones, with no complex app to download, so the record exists the moment the job is done rather than in a pad in the cab.
To be clear about where the line is: the Environment Agency's service is a separate national system you submit to, and SkipSense does not submit to it for you — be wary of any software that says it does.
